10 brilliant content creation spaces in Bristol

This blog began as a round up of Bristol based podcast studios (because as both a local business and a local-business-loving-business, and podcast-website-builders, we get asked this a lot). However, we couldn’t find all that many, so we decided to make it a round-up of Bristol-based content creation spaces more generally.

(When I say we, I mean lovely resident content producer Lyzi did all the hard work in finding the spots, emailing them for photo permission, and adding a few places post-publish – I just wrote about them).

If you’re looking for photography space, a film studio, podcast recording spot and more, here are 10 spots to consider for all that lovely content creation…

01

Now Studio

Mivart Studios, Easton, Bristol BS5 6JF

Now Studio hosts loads of different events and workshops, including yoga, meditation, sound baths and more. You can also hire its gorgeous white walls as a fully-equipped photography studio. Plus, all the money goes back into the local area and community.

03

Future Leap

1-3 Gloucester Road, Bristol BS7 8AA

Based in an old chapel, Future Leap Clifton houses a podcast studio, film studio and photography studio - and operates as a carbon neutral business, too.

05

Factory Studios

Barton Hill Trading Estate, Bristol BS5 9TQ

Factory Studios has podcast recording spaces, music studios, DJ room, a film and photo studio including an infinity cove, and a recording studio, if you want to live out your Daisy Jones & The Six dreams.

06

Qu Studios

Philip Street, Bristol BS3 4EA

Qu Studios is another photography and film studio with a kitchen setup, as well as a green room (no, not the kind you can see pictured - one for hair and makeup and preparation).

07

Bristol Voiceover Studio

The Old Malthouse, St Jude's, Bristol BS2 9EB

With clients like BBC, Audible, New York Times, The New Yorker, Bloomsbury Publishing and Penguin Random House, Bristol Voiceover Studio offer state-of-the-art audiobook, podcast and voiceover recording and production.

Number Forty

Kingsdown, Bristol BS2

Jewellery designer Hannah (who also occasionally works with us designing websites) has a beautiful house, with stunning natural light and lush mid-century interiors. It's bookable by the hour for photo and video shoots through Styled Home Studios.

Greenbank Kitchen Studio

BS5

This studio has a generous shooting space connected to a fully-equipped kitchen, as well as a small, south-facing garden. Alongside food and drink photoshoots, the space is also great for product and lifestyle shoots for brands, businesses and individuals.

And although this perhaps isn’t an option for podcasting, if you’re looking for a setting for brand photos or videography, you could always think about hiring your local coffee shop for a session.

Aime and the gang did that with their faves, Greytone (whose aesthetic just happens to perfectly match the Studio Cotton one, cheers team) to produce their latest round of gorgeous brand photos (and I can say that, because I’m not in them).
