We book in 1-2 website rebuilds per calendar month, with a project start date being the first Monday of each month. We aim to fully complete the website rebuild by the first week of the following month, with an approximately 5-week turnaround.
Depending on our resources, we may be able to deliver the project sooner.
If you would like to book in a special rush project, we can deliver a rebuild in as little as 10 working days - subject to availability and an additional rush fee.
We'll move over everything you need from your old website, from copying and pasting your page content through to exporting and importing blogs & products.
Your job will be to provide feedback, sign-offs, and review your content. We do always recommend checking over all pages if you can, as automated imports in particular aren't flawless.
The website rebuild is a less collaborative project than a typical web design project, so your main job will be on checking, signing off, and making your own content changes, additions and edits.
Our packages do not include manual editing of blogs and products, but we can quote to tidy these up if you'd like.
There can be as little as 10 minutes of total downtime between turning off your old website, and turning on the new one. We do say to prepare for maybe an hour or two of outages just in case anything comes up - but *touch wood* we've not had to worry about that yet.
Some of our clients choose to disable their old websites sooner, in these circumstances we can create a holding page for the new website.
Yes. This rebuild service requires an existing website to, well, rebuild. It doesn't matter what platform/state/size/content, and we can talk you through the additions and changes you'll see on your new rebuilt website.
Your website needs hosting, security, software licenses, and regular technical updates to remain online and available to your customers. We bundle 6 months of these costs into the initial website project price, and continue to offer these as a maintenance package of approx. £80+VAT per month (billed quarterly or annually).
We also offer a maintenance-free hosting & security monthly package, but only recommend this option if you have experience with maintaining a WordPress website.
The best performing websites are those that receive regular, proactive additions and optimisations - especially when it comes to staying competitive with SEO.
With this in mind, we recommend clients budget somewhere from 1-4 days per month of website time, whether that's in-house or via a website management retainer. We're always happy to make recommendations and suggest some website-growing homework!
Yes, we don't lock anything down - anything we can edit or add, you can edit or add too.
But.
Whilst we very much encourage our clients to manage their website text and images, we highly recommend leaving the web design & technical jobs to us. Unlike an out-of-the-box website, your bespoke site has a tonne of custom-made moving parts, and sometimes what seems like a small edit can have pretty serious consequences, especially on tablets & phones.
That's also why our recommended maintenance plan (which you get for 12 months included your website package) comes with 20 minutes of human-time from our team each month - perfect for small web design additions, tweaks, and changes.
