2. Creative Space Bristol, North Street
You’ll find Creative Space Bristol nestled among the independent shops on North Street in Bedminster. The shop is run by Emma who’s nurtured the space for over a decade alongside her business In Recovery Upholstery. It’s an inviting, open venue that offers workshops and craft courses, with plenty of plug sockets, bright light and flexible furniture arrangements it’s super practical too.
Creative Space Bristol’s latest workshops and courses includes upholstery, pattern cutting, dressmaking, lampshade workshops, machine knitting, stained glass, fused glass, oh and ceramics too.

3. HOURS, Colston Yard, Bristol City Centre

4. Cafe Kino, Gloucester Road, Bristol
For our number 4. here’s Rachel (Studio Cotton’s General Administrator) coming at you from 2025, with Cafe Kino.
Our previous number 4, Cafe Jackalope is sadly no longer open, but community institution Cafe Kino is close by on Bristol’s fiercely independent Gloucester Road. A not-for-profit co-op, they are passionate about supporting Bristol’s local businesses, especially those committed to environmental sustainability and social good, brewing Triple Co coffee and serving up delicious homemade vegan food.
Cafe Kino’s basement workshop space hosts everything from life drawing to discussions, screenings to live music events. A hidden gem, and cosy underground safe space.

5. Kiln Workshop, Gloucester Road, Bristol
Tucked away on a corner between North Road and Gloucester Road, Kiln Workshop offers pottery painting and crafty workshops for kids and grown ups.
